Education

We need to focus on building a World Class Education System. The children of Hawaii represent our state’s most precious resource, because they represent our future. We need to secure higher qualified teachers with better pay and benefits, such as an affordable rental housing program for teachers in Hawaii. Reduced housing costs will attract more teachers and the retention of teachers for our education system. I plan to work on policy to reduce class size to ensure better education for each student and work to bring back the successful A Plus After School Program, which will be of great benefit to both students and working parents.
